In this practice, Mr. Andre has provided legal services in many disputes between shareholders and partners, including the negotiation of the “buy-out” of one or more owners and tax-free split-ups of the business operations. In addition, Mr. Andre provides guidance to the business owners with respect to employee benefits, personnel policies and the other issues that arise as a business plans for growth and reacts to market conditions and regulatory initiatives.
Mr. Andre also works extensively in the estate planning and probate areas. He advises clients on making arrangements for the orderly transition of the ownership of a business and in the conservation of the business owner’s estate, as well as counseling individuals on establishing wills and trusts that will reduce estate taxes, protect assets and provide benefits for the surviving family members.
